Response to Instruction and Intervention

Response to Instruction and Intervention (RTII) is a multi-step approach to providing services and interventions to students in general education and or special education who struggle with learning at increasing levels of intensity. RTII can reduce the amount of academic failure a student experiences, as well as the number of children mistaken for having learning disabilities. Training provided on RTII can help districts identify students that have true disabilities earlier. District teams and individual participants are welcome to trainings. Participants can include but are not limited to principals, school psychologists, Local Education Agencies (LEAs), data personnel, teachers, and guidance counselors.
