Mission
The mission is to strengthen the capacity of students in Fayette, Greene, and Washington Counties to meet the challenges facing a 21st century citizen. To advance the mission, the Foundation will develop alliances with business organizations, corporations, and private citizens in order to support educational initiatives and programs for schools in Fayette, Greene, and Washington Counties.
Foundation Goals:
Scholarship Development & Program Support
- Expand scholarship opportunities for high-need students, adult learners, and individuals pursuing careers in high-demand fields.
- Administer grants that support areas such as special education, speech, and other emerging student needs.
- Partner with school districts and other organizations to manage and implement grant-funded programs.
Community Engagement & Fundraising
- Build public awareness of the Foundation’s mission, goals, and impact throughout the IU1 region.
- Raise funds to support scholarships, educational outreach, and classroom innovation.
- Develop sustainable funding mechanisms for collaborative district and community-based initiatives.
Collaborative Grant Development
- Award mini-grants to support innovative programs at the district, classroom, or student level.
- Identify and pursue multi-district grant opportunities that foster regional collaboration.
- Strengthen partnerships among school districts, agencies, and communities through shared grant-funded efforts.
