IU1 Educational Campus at Redstone
The Intermediate Unit 1 Educational Campus at Redstone provides a highly structured, comprehensive, supportive, safe atmosphere along with special education services not available in the public school setting. The highly qualified staff teaches curricula aligned with the Pennsylvania Academic Standards in English, math, science, social studies, physical education, and health. Collaboration efforts with a variety of agencies enhance the program. Full-time staff includes teachers, paraprofessionals, and a school nurse.
Programs
Autistic Support
The Autistic Support program provides academic, communication, sensory, and behavioral services to students that have been diagnosed with one of the autism spectrum disorders. The program is highly structured with an emphasis on behavior modification and encourages independence and self-sufficiency in the areas of communication, community-based instruction, functional academics, vocational, leisure, and social skills.
Life Skills Support
The Life Skills Support (LSS) program serves students who have intellectual abilities that prevent them from obtaining meaningful progress in a general education curriculum. The LSS program emphasizes functional academics, communication skills, self-help, social self-advocacy, vocational and community living skills with community-based instructions in real-life situations.

Facilities
The resources at the IU1 Educational Campus at Redstone are designed to meet students’ needs of all ages. Air-conditioned classrooms are equipped with readily available technology. Additionally, students have access to an indoor gym, multipurpose room, restrooms, FabLab, and Nurse's Office.
