STEM in Action

Intermediate Unit 1 (IU1), in partnership with Chevron, are pleased to announced the first annual Chevron STEM in Action Video Contest! The STEM in Action Video Contest encourages students to explore the interdisciplinary nature of STEM by showcasing STEM activities in their school through a short 3 minute video. Students with teacher guidance may choose to act it out, create an animation, or sing to create an engaging video for all!
Teams of up to seven (7) students in 6th to 8th grade from schools in Fayette, Greene, and Washington counties have the opportunity to enter the contest to compete for a chance to win the IU1 Fab Lab for one week at their school. Contestants must participate as a team and participating districts will receive a $50 gift card (one per district) for expenses related to the production of the video.
Register your team today at Chevron STEM in Action Video Contest 2017!
Videos are to be submitted no later than 4:00 PM on May 12, 2017 to Sarah D’Urzo at sarah.durzo@iu1.org. All required forms must be attached within one email.
