Eight schools from within the IU1 region—California, Canon-McMillan, Carmichaels, Charleroi, Frazier, Jefferson-Morgan, Southeastern Greene, and Trinity School Districts—joined the competition alongside Boyertown High School from eastern Pennsylvania and Saint Mark's High School from Wilmington, Delaware.
