The Redstone Child Alert playground was created to enhance learning opportunities and student enrichment, aiming to create a supportive and engaging environment. The Early Intervention program recognized that a playground at our Redstone campus would provide preschoolers with the chance to develop motor, cognitive, and communication skills, all while having fun.

During the planning phase, Early Intervention and the Building and Maintenance Department saw a mutual benefit in having the Fayette County Career & Technical Institute Masonry and Construction Program students lead the installation process. This collaboration not only strengthened community ties but also provided the students with a hands-on community project that they were excited and proud to participate in.

The pleasant weather in May has allowed students to finally enjoy and benefit from the new playground. This has provided them with ample opportunities for outdoor play and skill development, making the most of their time outside. The positive impact on the students is already evident as they engage with the new equipment, enhancing their learning and growth.
