The Intermediate Unit 1 Central Office hosted the Holiday card decorating contest participants for a well-deserved pizza party. This year, there were 347 entries from classrooms throughout the area! The walls were decorated with all the cards that were submitted, while the six finalists were on display at the front of the room.
The six students who created the first round winning cards were awarded congratulatory certificates, and then the gathering of students and teachers alike enjoyed some delicious pizza for lunch, and cookies for dessert. Each child received a sketch pad, crayons, and colored pencils to color with during the party, and then take home after.
The six designs will be voted on later this year by IU1 staffers to see which will be selected as the official IU1 Holiday card! Best of luck to the finalists!
