The Intermediate Unit 1 held their 2nd annual HSE Graduation Ceremony at the IU1 Central Office on Thursday, October 14, 2021. IU1 HSE graduates and their friends and families were able to attend in person to recognize their efforts. Due to COVID, community partners, IU1 board members, state advisors, and more were invited to attend remotely. We were lucky enough to have several of the county commissioners across Fayette, Greene, Washington, and Westmoreland speak words of encouragement to our graduates. Our IU1 Executive Director and Assistant Executive Director also spoke to the students. We had 3 different class speakers who also spoke to the graduates and their families. We celebrated their success and efforts in earning their HSE diploma, along with extending congratulations on their new job endeavors and post-secondary careers. We had over 75 graduates earn their HSE diploma in the last 2 years, and 17 of those students were able to attend the ceremony both in person and remotely. We look forward to celebrating the success of future students.
