IU1 Student to Compete at State SkillsUSA Conference

Each year, students enrolled in programs at the Fayette County Career and Technology Institute compete in the SkillsUSA Pennsylvania District 9 Competition. Competitive events are held at for the purpose of selecting one team and one winner in each of the leadership and skill competitive events, respectively, to compete at the State Leadership Conference. IU1 is pleased to announce that Robert, an Albert Gallatin 12th grade student enrolled in the IU program at Fayette-CTI, won FIRST PLACE in his competitive event in the area of Action Skills. Robert will compete at the State Leadership Conference in Hershey on April 19-21. Special thanks go to IU1 Vocational Teacher Chris Johnson who helped Robert prepare for his event and Stephanie Baumgard for assisting him with resume preparation.
