Homework


All Induction Consortium participants must complete the Induction Homework Assignments to complete the Induction program. Assignments must be typewritten in Microsoft Word and submitted via Blackboard within the Induction Course set up during the Year 1 Day 1 session. Any other format will not be accepted.

Please use the following format for the filename: "<last name> <first name> Keys.doc" for the Three Key Concepts and "<last name> <first name> Obs.doc" for the Peer Observation. Example: "Smith Susan Obs.doc".

When submitting homework assignments, include your name, district, and the date you attended the course or workshop in the Microsoft Word document. Course participants use the first date of the course.

Assignment #1 is due 7 days from the start of the course or workshop.
Assignment #2 is due 30 days from the start of the course or workshop.

  1. 3 Key Concepts from the Pennsylvania Code of Professional Practice and Conduct for Educators

    All Induction participants are required to read Pennsylvania's Code of Professional Practice and Conduct for Educators, (PA Code of Conduct). After reading the PA Code of Conduct, you are to identify three key concepts in the code and write a brief description about why you feel each concept you identified is important. This description should be a short paragraph on each concept identified.

  2. Peer Observation

    Inductees are to complete a peer evaluation using this form. The observation must mention the PA standards and anchors referenced in the lesson observed. Observation is not required for pre-K staff.

Note: Course Participants

Induction Consortium participants who take a course option will receive homework assignments during each course, in addition to the two Induction assignments listed above. Some assignments for these courses may include:
