IU1 Safe Schools All-Hazards Planning
IU1 Safe Schools All-Hazards Plan is a comprehensive plan developed by each school district to provide for the well-being and safety of students, faculty, and staff. The plan emphasizes the principles of prevention, intervention, and postvention strategies. The Pennsylvania Emergency Management Services Code requires such plans.

Goals of the Safe School Initiative Program
The training will focus on three goals:
- Every school district and CTC has a Safe School All-Hazard Plan that is comprehensive, up-to-date and understood by all stakeholders.
- All school staff is trained in the area of violence prevention and intervention.
- Staff knowledge and skills in emergency preparedness and response planning are increased.
Due to limited space each school district is allocated three slots. Please send:
